In response to increasingly stringent energy standards being imposed by DOE, graduate student Andre Gan, with faculty advisors Klein and Reindl, investigated methods for improving the energy efficiency of domestic refrigerators. A rank-ordered list of design alternatives and corresponding recommendations were provided to the project sponsors.
